Iconic indeed - would you believe that we have one just like it in Bergen?
I have a client named Muriel who is from England and she told me stories about her and her husband while they were dating, and what would go on in those booths!
It is a shame, they are very charming and in some places they preserve them as relics

What did we do before cell phones? The thing I find nicest about this booth is the fact that its not on some city pavement but seemingly somewhere in the country. It makes the red stand out nicely against the green background. Looks like something an explorer from the future will find if discovering long lost London.
Tis a shame these have fallen from grace. Years from now, people will say, "What were they thinking??" It's good to know they are being preserved though.
