We have lots of deer in the woods near to where I live, and this one was taken with my new lense, which thankfully has vibration control, and gives you the full use of the Zoom function, minus camera shake and without the need to always have a tripod, which is a real bonus as I normally haul my tripod with me everywhere I go, so for a quick unplanned shot its really proved its worth :-)

Very nice deer portrait. That said, don't forget your tripod. Anti-shake doesn't replace good technique. :-) (Now if I can only remember where my tripod is......)
Very good photo of the deer. I like the fact that you concentrated on the face and not the whole deer (or do you also have tons of full body deer pics as well). I also like the post title.
