St. Cedds Chapel.

In 654 ad St Cedd landed here bringing Christianity, he sailed down the east coast of England from the Island of Lindisfarne off the coast of Northumberland to East Anglia, and was invited by the Saxon king of the time to build this Chapel and begin spreading the Christian word from here. The chapel stands alone on the Edge of the North Sea and has withstood all the weather can throw at it over the centuries, and to this day it is visited by thousands of pilgrims each year. I felt honoured to be here and just to touch the walls was an amazing and a very moving experience, The sunlight was streaming through the windows giving this amazing natural glow.

This is an amazing shot. The window glow on the bench & floor is great. Could have not timed it better. If you have a contest coming up, here is our entry!

Great photo. I love the sunlight. It gives the pic more than warmth. It gives it that holy look. Your history in the UK is unbelievable compared to us. *or have I said that before?*
